 Fanfiction Contest
« Thread Started on Jul 12, 2004, 1:22pm »

Yes, I think it's time for a contest. Also to boost the activity around here. It's a pretty simple contest, but meh.

What can you win?

Nothing, next to a picture that you can put in your sig saying you won this contest, and a custom title. Any suggestion for more prices, please PM me.

How long will the contest last?

This contest will last at least until Monday 26 of July 2004. It may however last longer when less then 3 entries have been made.

What if I can't make my entry until then?

If you kindly ask, we might wait for your entry. This however depends on how long you will take. Up to a few days after the normal deadline is the max.

How many entries may I make?

You may only make one entry, however, you may edit your entry at any time before the deadline. Only after the deadline, the entries will be checked and judged.

Who will judge?

I (Davewaveman) and Pargtermst will be the judges. Logically, we will not make an entry.

Where should I post my entry?

Iin this thread.

Can I change the name Dave into something else?

Nope, sorry. This contest is to see how people write within some sort of "boundaries". Besides, I want to see how people react when they have to write about a character with the same name as me. :P

Dave, eh? Can I umm...kill him? ;D

You're free to do what you want. It won't get your chances of winning down. In fact, it might sometimes raise it. I'm pretty sure Pargtermst wants to see me die. ::)

Ok, so here's the deal. I want you to write a story of 3000 words, it may be a little less or more (More is better!), but do not force things. Typos get your chance of winning down, but the most important thing is the story. Make something good will ya?

This is the story every entry should begin with. It's up to you how you let the story evolve.

It stopped raining. Dave lied in the grass in pain. Slowly he found the strength to sit back up. He looked at the wound on his right hand. While looking at the wound, Dave realized it wasn't a dream that happened, it was real. Slowly he tried to remember fully what happened. He thought back of the events that took place a few hours ago...

Good luck!
